Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in condition.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move in and out of bed, walk, or use wheelchairs safely.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to ensure a safe living environment.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient activities, behaviors, and observations in care logs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; HHA or CNA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, nursing, or caregiving is preferred but not always required.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory for this role.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
