Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and professional manner.
- Medication Management: Remind patients to take their medications at scheduled times and report any changes in health or medication side effects to the supervising nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the patient, including light housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage patients in conversation and recreational activities to improve their quality of life.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as weight, temperature, and blood pressure as directed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient care logs and incident reports in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification preferred but not mandatory (we offer training).
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, caregiving, or a related field is a plus.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; must be in good physical health.
- Background: Pass a background check and drug screening.
