Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications as prescribed and report any changes in condition or medication adherence to the nursing supervisor.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light activities to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients, including laundry and light cleaning tasks.
- Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification is a plus but not always required for entry-level.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, caregiving, or nursing assistance is preferred.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, patient-centered approach.
- Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
