As a Home Health Aide, you will serve as a vital bridge between our clients and their independence, providing compassionate care that truly matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Monitor and accurately report changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the nursing supervisor or case manager.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community outings as needed.
- Administer medications and perform treatments exactly as directed by the licensed nurse or physician.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients while strictly adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Document daily care logs and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or valid CNA license is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certifications.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (clean driving record preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients (up to 50 lbs) safely and effectively.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
