Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and care.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain strict infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) following ALARA safety guidelines.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure accurate documentation in our dental software.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Perform chairside assisting duties including suctioning, rinsing, and maintaining the patient's comfort.
- Monitor inventory levels of dental supplies and notify management of shortages.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Dental Assisting.
- Current California RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license or valid DA permit.
- CPR and First Aid certification (BLS).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Detail-oriented with a high focus on infection control and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts to meet patient needs.
