Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying living spaces)
- Monitor vital signs and document client status changes accurately
- Administer medication reminders and assist with prescribed treatments
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation
- Adhere to care plans and maintain HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Current Tennessee HHA certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Empathetic demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
