As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, and providing emotional support in the privacy of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and observe for any adverse reactions.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move around the house or assist with walking exercises to maintain independence.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including meal preparation.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Clinical Documentation: Accurately complete and submit daily care logs and progress reports to supervisors.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to client needs and follow proper protocols during medical emergencies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Tennessee Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health or personal care is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for client travel.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine, empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
