Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
- Change bed linens and ensure a clean, safe living environment.
Qualifications
- Current Maryland CNA or HHA certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Must demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
