Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record daily health metrics, such as weight, temperature, and blood pressure, as directed.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and community events as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided in accordance with agency policies and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, CNA, or PCA is highly desirable but not always required for immediate hires.
- Certifications: Current Arizona CNA certification or Home Health Aide certificate (if applicable).
- Medical Training: Valid CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Driver's License: A valid, clean driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for home visits.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work independently.
- Background: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
