Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Prepare meals according to special dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to ensure a safe and clean living environment for the client.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social outings.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility using mobility aids as directed.
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for home visits.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with patients and families.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not always required.
- Must be compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented.
