Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in condition to the nurse or supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry and light cleaning duties.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands using your own vehicle.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Current state certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills and a genuine compassion for helping others.
