Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene to ensure personal comfort and dignity.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with medication administration as directed by a nurse.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light cleaning to maintain a safe living environment.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation and improve the client's emotional well-being.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor and report any changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the supervising nursing staff immediately.
- Transportation: Provide safe transportation to medical appointments, errands, or social outings.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- Driver's License: A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory for most positions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully with clients and families.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; physical stamina to assist clients with mobility.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassion: A genuine, patient, and empathetic approach to patient care.
