Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any missed doses to the supervising nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move safely around the home, transfer from bed to chair, and perform light exercises as directed.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, and changing linens.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily care logs and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current California State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) license.
- Valid ID: Valid California driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certifications.
- Background: Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping the elderly and disabled population.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs.
