Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled caregiver to assist patients with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and mobility. You will be an essential part of a patient's recovery and overall well-being, providing the comfort and dignity they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Medication Monitoring: Remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times and report any missed doses or side effects to the supervisor.
- Companionship & Socialization: Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversation to combat loneliness and improve mental health.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and changing linens to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, grocery shopping, or social outings as needed.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Track and record client weight, temperature, and blood pressure as directed by the nursing team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily care logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Oregon Home Care Aide (HCA) license or certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Driver's License: Valid driverβs license with a clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle for client transport.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health care or caregiving is preferred but we welcome compassionate individuals ready to learn.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
