Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure client comfort and hygiene.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, eating, and mobility support.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes, concerns, or emergencies to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation, reading, and engaging in hobbies.
- Administer prescribed medications (if certified) and document care logs accurately.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or social activities when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certificate as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred but not always required.
- Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and assist patients for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
