Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes in condition or concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on specific dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the client's quality of life.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Alaska Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented work ethic.
