Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry to ensure a safe living environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social events using your own vehicle.
- Administer medication as directed by a licensed nurse and maintain accurate medication logs.
- Respond to client calls or emergencies promptly and follow care plans established by the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
