Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding patients who require special dietary modifications.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties as part of the care plan to maintain a safe environment.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities as needed.
- Administer prescribed medication and document intake accurately according to state regulations.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to help improve the patient's quality of life.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program (Paid training available for qualified candidates without certification).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
