Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to maintain the client's dignity and comfort.
- Monitor client health status, reporting any changes in condition or symptoms to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, changing linens, and cleaning living areas.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with mobility as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred but not mandatory (training may be provided).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Valid Texas Driverβs License and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to travel between client homes.
