Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation based on dietary needs.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and daily activity reports accurately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings to ensure safety.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve well-being.
- Follow all healthcare protocols, safety regulations, and agency policies.
- Manage medication reminders and report any changes in patient condition to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
