Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in condition or behavior to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and recreational activities.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities as needed.
- Administer medications and track dosages according to physician orders and care plans.
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to complete electronic documentation accurately.
- Pass a background check, drug screening, and TB test.
- Previous experience in home care or geriatric care is preferred but not mandatory.
