Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and report changes in client health status, mood, or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Administer medications and perform vital sign checks (blood pressure, pulse) as trained.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or social activities using personal vehicle.
- Document daily care logs and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
