Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications at scheduled times and report any issues to the nursing staff.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that adhere to the client's dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, and errands.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to reduce isolation.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move safely in and out of bed, chairs, or wheelchairs, and assist with walking as needed.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Record and report changes in the client's physical condition, mood, or behavior to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Oklahoma Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate or current CNA license required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to treat patients with patience, empathy, and respect.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
