Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Support clients with medication reminders and document administration as required by care plans.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light exercises to promote mental well-being and combat isolation.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client, including laundry and light tidying.
- Communication: Report any changes in the client's condition, mood, or health status to the Case Manager immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required for paid training enrollment.
- Caregiver Experience: Prior experience in home health, nursing assistance, or caregiving is highly preferred.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
- Background Check: Willingness to submit to a criminal background and fingerprinting check.
