Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor patient health status, report changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN), and ensure medication adherence.
- Mobility Support: Help patients with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids safely.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to ensure a safe living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in social activities to combat isolation.
- CPR Certification: Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications and be prepared to respond to emergencies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Valid state certification as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- License: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Background: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
