As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and companionship to clients in their homes, allowing them to maintain independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor client health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Administer medications and track dosages according to physician orders.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing to maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Accurately complete and maintain daily care logs and documentation.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical stamina to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
