Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or PCA (Patient Care Assistant) certification is highly preferred.
- Current California State Driver's License and valid auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for geriatric care.
