Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to special diets.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Assist with mobility and transportation to medical appointments or errands.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Administer medications and perform vital sign checks as directed by nursing staff.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid New Jersey driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine, caring demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is a plus.
