Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain safe living environments
- Transport clients to medical appointments and errands
- Monitor client health status and report changes to supervisors
- Assist with mobility transfers and positioning techniques
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- No prior healthcare experience required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must complete state-mandated training program
