Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and recreational activities.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to client care, such as changing linens and tidying up living areas.
- Administer medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments or social activities as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Willingness to obtain a CNA or HHA certification (we provide training if you are willing to learn).
- A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required for home visits.
- Strong compassion and a genuine desire to help seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, understanding demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
