Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure dietary restrictions are met.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and changing bed linens.
- Monitor the client's physical and emotional well-being and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility using proper transfer techniques.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to improve the client's quality of life.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- CNA or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred but not mandatory (training available).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods while assisting clients.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
