Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with light medical tasks as directed.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation and activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and grocery shopping.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care or healthcare settings is preferred.
- License: Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a patient, caring demeanor.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
