Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with eating according to dietary restrictions.
- Monitoring: Observe client conditions, report changes in behavior, symptoms, or status to the nursing staff immediately.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Household Help: Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, changing bed linens, and cleaning the client's living area.
- Medication Reminders: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications at the appropriate times.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community outings.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Nebraska Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary for client transport.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks involved in patient care.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when working with the elderly or individuals with disabilities.
