Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal hygiene care and medication reminders in a respectful and compassionate manner.
- Monitor patient health status and report any changes in condition or vital signs to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks specifically related to patient care.
- Accurately document care activities and maintain timely submission of timesheets.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current Oregon CNA or HHA certification is highly preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in home care or geriatric care is a plus.
