Your Role
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in helping patients maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. You will work closely with nurses and families to deliver personalized care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare light meals and assist with meal planning and feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Monitor and report changes in client behavior, physical condition, or medical needs to the supervising nurse.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning to maintain a safe environment.
- Accurately document daily care logs and incident reports.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or errands using personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification must be current.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for in-home visits).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
