Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Triage incoming patients in emergency department and urgent care settings
- Communicate critical findings to physicians and care teams
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Provide clear patient education on care pathways and discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with electronic health records
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
