Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescriptions on time.
- Offer companionship and conversation to combat loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Accurately document daily care logs and incident reports.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities using a personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
- Current California Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance are mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with seniors and families.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) is highly preferred.
