Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration according to dietary plans
- Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, cleaning, meal preparation)
- Transport clients to medical appointments and community activities
- Monitor vital signs and document changes in patient condition
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan instructions
- Maintain accurate care records and report concerns to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of professional caregiving experience
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate personality with patience and cultural sensitivity
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
