Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Light housekeeping duties including laundry and tidying
- Document care activities and maintain accurate client records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Report changes in client condition to care coordinators
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months professional caregiving experience
- Current Michigan HHA certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation for client transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passionate about elderly care with empathy and patience
- Clear criminal background check and negative TB test
