Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move safely around their home, including transferring in and out of bed or chairs, and walking with assistance as needed.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and report any missed doses or adverse reactions to the nurse or supervisor immediately.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, play games, read to them, or accompany them on errands and community outings to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and meal preparation according to dietary restrictions.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) as directed by the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to client homes within Tulsa.
- Certification: Current Oklahoma Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with clients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods while providing care.
- Empathy: Genuine compassion and patience for working with the elderly or disabled population.
