As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential daily living assistance to patients in the comfort of their own homes, ensuring they maintain their independence and dignity while receiving top-tier care.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move safely in and out of bed, walk, or use mobility aids (wheelchairs/crutches).
- Medication Management: Promptly remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as directed by the case manager.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and accurately record basic health metrics such as temperature and pulse.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely daily logs of patient activities and health status.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care, nursing, or caregiving is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Certification: CNA or HHA certification is a significant plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
