Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding if necessary.
- Light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Medication reminders and monitoring of client health status, reporting any changes to the nursing team immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and recreational activities.
- Accurately document patient care activities, vital signs, and incidents in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments and errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Current, unencumbered state license (where applicable).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in home care, nursing, or caregiving is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift and move clients safely (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
