Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and feeding patients.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and daily progress accurately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of the RN or LPN.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or errands.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Current, valid Virginia driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in home healthcare or geriatric care is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
