Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to hygiene protocols and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nurses and physicians during examinations and treatments, including preparing equipment and transporting patients.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients and their families, providing emotional support and a listening ear during their hospital stay.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs as required by hospital policy.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
