Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Record vital signs, fluid intake and output, and other relevant medical data accurately and timely.
- Support physicians and nurses during medical procedures and treatments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to ensure infection control standards are met.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Current and valid New York State (NYS) CNA license required.
- Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform hands-on patient care.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
