Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols: sterilize instruments and maintain operatory hygiene
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient workflow
- Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide oxide under dentist supervision
- Document patient records accurately using our digital practice management software
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant (RDA) license or DA certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Certification in radiography and infection control (OSHA/HIPAA compliant)
- Proficiency with digital dental imaging systems and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care
