Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgery
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting with Dentrix software
- Take accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photos
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and restorative materials
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification or NY State Dental Assisting license
- 2+ years of chairside experience in a general practice setting
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control protocols
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
