Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Patient Care: Take and develop dental X-rays, prepare patients for procedures, and provide post-operative instructions.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and manage appointment schedules using dental software.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and explain treatment options clearly.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order dental supplies and equipment to ensure the practice is fully stocked.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current CA Dental Assistant license (RDA or CDA preferred).
- Certifications: Current BLS (CPR) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in taking X-rays (Panoramic, Periapical) and using dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
