Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance
- Take digital X-rays and manage patient dental records using Dentrix/EagleSoft
- Perform chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Manage inventory ordering and ensure optimal supply levels
- Deliver patient education on post-procedure care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate scheduling and assist with front desk operations when needed
Qualifications
- Current NYS Dental Assistant License or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision in a high-volume setting
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation
