Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-in/check-out procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Schedule appointments and coordinate provider calendars using Epic EMR system
- Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Handle incoming calls, triage messages, and direct inquiries to appropriate departments
- Prepare and maintain patient charts, medical records, and administrative files
- Assist with basic medical tasks like vital sign measurement and room preparation
- Coordinate with billing department for insurance verification and payment processing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- 1+ years of medical reception or front desk experience required
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic experience strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Valid Kentucky driver's license and reliable transportation
- Up-to-date CPR certification or willingness to obtain immediately
